Robert Linxe, founder of La Maison du Chocolat, has dedicated his life to chocolate. A man with an exceptional palate, wine connoisseur, music lover and particularly opera, an artist in his soul with an eye for aesthetics, he has placed chocolate centre stage as an ingredient of exception.
Thanks to his ganache (soft texture made from chocolate and whipping cream, then coated with a thin layer of chocolate) he has revolutionised the world of chocolate and influenced a whole generation of chocolate-makers. Christened "the wizard of ganache", he offers his followers a less sweet, creamy chocolate, for more mature tastebuds; A delicate balance with a reinvented taste.
For over 35 years, the ganaches of La Maison du Chocolat have been the icon of French luxury chocolate. Nicolas Cloiseau, the Chef of La Maison du Chocolat and a French chocolate Master, is now in charge of its trademark flavor.
La Maison du Chocolat offers a variety of plain and flavoured ganaches, together with “pralines” and a range of pastries including macarons with “hearts of ganache” available in 11 flavors, a chocolate pie and a chocolate eclair.
